Use a Computer

The library has public computers with Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.

Public access computers with Internet service are available to everyone.

  • The library has 5 computers with Internet access.
  • The Internet accessible computers also have Microsoft Word, Access, Power Point, and Publisher 2003. Most of our computers will not access a document made on 2007 but we may be able to help. Ask a staff member.
  • A minimum of 1 hour is allowed on the computers, after which you will be asked to vacate your computer if others are waiting.  If no one is waiting, there is no time limit.  Computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Please sign in with a staff member at the front desk before using a computer.
  • A parental permission form is required for all users under the age of 18 to use the Internet unless the parent or guardian is present.  The public access computers do not have filters on them and the library staff is not responsible for what your child accesses online.
  • Printing is available in both black and white and color.  Black and white prints are $.25 per page, color prints are $.50 half page and $1.00 full page.
  • Floppy disks, zip disks, flash drives and CD-Roms are all allowed.  Floppy disks are available to purchase for $1.00 -- ask a staff member.
  • Sometimes computers freeze up or have other problems.  If your computer has a problem, please ask a staff member for help.  They are trained in fixing problems.  Please do not restart the computer or try to fix the problem yourself.
