Libby
Bridges is the ebook, audiobook, and e-magazine consortium for Iowa libraries. Patrons access these materials via an app called Libby (previously known as OverDrive).
How Libby works is similar to checking out a physical book: you can check out materials (up to 5 at a time) and place holds (up to 10 at a time).
To login, select Evansdale Public Library as your library and then enter your full library card number (for example: 23754000065432).
Hoopla
Hoopla is for you to borrow and enjoy audiobooks, eBooks, comics, movies, TV, magazines, or music everywhere you have a screen-your computer, your phone, your car, even your TV.
How Hoopla works is that you have a certain number of materials you can check out each month (up to 6 per month). Once you hit your max amount, you are out of borrows for the month. This count resets on the first of each month. Hoopla does offer "Bonus Borrows" the last five days of each month on select titles that don't count towards your quota!
To register, select Evansdale Public Library as your library. Then, enter your library card starting with the four zeros and the four numbers after the zeros (for example: "00006543"). It will then ask you for your email and to create a password, which you will use to login in the future.
